Axiom Foods Receives Both Organic Certifications and NSF’s Cook & Thurber Audit Approval

LOS ANGELES, CA, June 23, 2009 – Axiom Foods (www.axiomfoods.com), the world’s largest producer of whole grain brown rice protein concentrates and isolates, among other products, has announced a groundbreaking quarter. Axiom received an organic certification for eight whole grain, brown rice ingredients, from Quality Assurance International (QAI), plus passed its manufacturing facility audits by NSF International’s Cook & Thurber Team. This opens Axiom’s doors to
some of the world’s largest food manufacturers, while aiding US-based Axiom’s quality advantage over Pakistan and Indian-based competitors.
All of Axiom’s organic products are now inspected and certified by Quality Assurance International (QAI) and certified under the USDA’s National Organic Program (NOP). This includes whole grain brown rice protein concentrate/isolate, sugar, syrup, and milk products. Third party organic testing ensures consumers that products meet consistent standards at every stage of production and distribution, starting in the fields and ending at the table. “Our goal is to not only meet but exceed the most consistent, renowned and respected international standards, set by QAI and the FDA,” said David Janow, President of Axiom Foods.
Axiom has invested years of research and education of farmers, leading to the cultivation of organic rice in Axiom’s proprietary, chemical-free rice paddies. “Organic doesn’t happen overnight, despite some rice product claims manufacturers need to be careful of” added Janow. “We have become the world’s true, authentically chemical-free, organic, whole grain brown rice product source, down to the seeds. The NSF Cook & Thurber Auditing Team provides the national and international certification standards for food safety and quality. Large companies such as Kellogg’s, General Mills and Cliff Bar, among many others, rely on these audits to measure and weed out ingredient suppliers for major product lines. In addition, Axiom’s products are GMP Produced (Good Manufacturing Standards) in facilities that are third party inspected and certified for HACCP (Hazard Analysis & Critical Control Points), ISO 22000, and ISO 9000. “These certifications support our continued commitment to technology and exceeding regulatory requirements, while bringing the benefits of whole grain brown rice to the forefront,” concluded Janow.
